Job description

Female Physical Education (PE) Teacher required for a Bury Secondary school full time from April 2019 initially on a 12 month basis for an open gap within the department.

Due to a resignation within the department this mixed comprehensive Secondary school is seeking to appoint a dynamic female PE Teacher to join their Ofsted graded 'Good' school. If you wish to be considered for this exciting opportunity then please see the details below for further information.

  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant subject specific qualifications within PE to be considered.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

Located just outside the Radcliffe region of Bury this large Secondary school has seen an influx of pupils selecting PE at GCSE and BTEC level over the last few years. The school has newly refurbished the sports and PE faculties and now boast access to state of the art resources in modern facilities.

The successful female PE Teacher will be responsible for;

  • Successfully manage learning through effective teaching and learning in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Implement a variety of methods and approaches in line with, learning objectives across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Set high expectations for all students to maximise their achievement and potential
  • Plan and record appropriate actions and outcomes related to set targets for all students.

The school has just over 800 pupils on roll, aged 11-16 and can easily be accessed via the M66. Bury also has an abundance of public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.
