Our client school located in Bury wish to appoint a Physical Education teaching assistant ahead of the new academic year.

Due to an upcoming maternity within their support team, our client school wish to appoint a cover supervisor who is a specialist within Physical Education. This role will involve covering both practical and theory PE lessons as well as other subject areas in the absence of pupil’s normal class teacher. This is a rare opportunity for any physical education graduates looking to gain further experience as a cover supervisor prior to beginning teacher training in the future.

As a Physical Education Cover Supervisor you will hold a number of responsibilities including;

- Delivering full class practical lessons as well as covering theory lessons (Pre-set work provided)

- Covering a variety of other subjects including humanities

- Managing pupil behaviour and ensure then complete allocated work

- Assisting with extra-curriculum activities

Situation within the Bury area, this secondary school is easily accessible from Bury town centre. The school is average in size and roughly has 1000 pupils on roll and the school holds an excellent reputation for achieving excellent results. Located just a short drive from the M66 the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale, Heywood, Rossendale and Prestwich.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
