Bridgend - PE Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school from the Bridgend area to recruit a PE teacher for the new academic year. This role is available for NQT’s as well as fully qualified teachers.

The School

-Mixed school with pupils aged 11-19

-EXCELLENT Estyn Rating in latest report

-Competitive sports teams across a variety of sports

-School works closely within local community

-Specialist resource unit working with integration of pupils with MLD

-Great Transport links under 10 mins from M4.

The Successful PE Teacher:

-You will be either a qualified PE teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) registered with the Education Workforce Council.

-You will have previous experience of delivering PE and sport coaching

-You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results.

-You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.

As part of an expanding PE department your main duties will include planning and execution of lessons, as well as other tasks such as marking, attending parent’s evenings and exam assessment. The PE department promotes in school sports and runs a number of sports teams that compete with other local schools and also takes part in national competitions. If you have a passion for coaching and can deliver training sessions that inspire and motivate the next generation you will fit in perfectly with this PE department.

On some occasions in addition to teaching PE you may also be asked to cover other subject areas.
