Job description

Full time Physical Education (PE) graduate required for a Bury Secondary school from April 2019 till the end of the academic year on a temporary supply basis.

Due to an increased demand for additional staff within the PE department this dynamic Secondary school are seeking a passionate PE Graduate to work within their faculty supporting staff with teaching and learning.

  • Full time PE Graduate required from April 2019.
  • Opportunity to gain practical experience within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Access to CPD training programmes through partner Secondary School.
  • Earn up to £70 per day.

Located in the Ramsbottom constituency of Bury this small Secondary school has consistently promoted an outstanding culture student centred learning. As PE is enjoyed by pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 the department boasts 4 members of teaching staff alongside several members of support staff.

The incoming PE Graduate will be required to;

  • Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside through the planning, preparing and marking of the Curriculum.
  • Deliver dynamic PE lessons sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

The school has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16. There are easy access options via the M60/M66 as well as the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale, and Preston.
