PE and Dance teacher - 11-18 secondary school based in Wigan.
Due to an upcoming maternity leave within their PE department, our partner school located in Wigan wish to appoint a PE and Dance teacher on a full time basis from November for the remainder of the 2018/19 academic year.
This is the ideal opportunity for any PE teachers with experience leading Dance to secure a full time role within an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school.
- Full time PE and Dance teacher - November 2018
- 11-18 secondary school located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre
- Teaching KS3 and GCSE PE and Dance - Potential opportunity to take on AS classes
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience (£22,917 - £38,633)
- School happy to consider experienced and newly qualified teachers for this role - Induction support available for NQT's
Due to this planned absence within this schools PE department, a rare opportunity has emerged for a PE and Dance teacher to join this department for the remainder of the academic year. PE and Dance teachers wishing to be considered for this opportunity will need to meet the below criteria:
- QTS/NQT status and PGCE/equivalent specialising within secondary Physical Education or Dance
- Experience teaching PE and Dance to a range of pupil abilities across KS3 and 4
- Be able to commit to working at this school for the remainder of the academic year
This is an 11-18 Church of England school with examination results above the national expectation. Located on the outskirts of the town centre close to Robin Park, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Chorley, Leigh, Bolton and Salford areas. During its most recent Ofsted report, the school was judged as a 'Good' school across all areas, with the management and leadership of the school being highlighted as a particular strength.
