Part-time Year 5 Teacher - Camden - September
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are very excited to represent a wonderful Primary School near Camden Markets; who are seeking a part-time Year 5 Teacher to start in September. The school is a one-form entry primary school, but is rapidly growing in their large new and exciting build, with bulging classes in action over the last 12 months. This stunning looking school was graded Ofsted 'Outstanding' in its most recent inspection (Dec 2016), and is very conveniently located a short walk from both Camden Town bus and tube stations (Northern Line).
The role itself would be as a Part-time Year 5 Teacher, and you would in fact be job sharing with another part-time member of staff. This could work in a few different ways depending entirely on what your preferences are: i.e. 3 days on, 2 days off; 5 mornings / 5 afternoons. You would have joint responsibility over a delightful and very well behaved Year 5 class of 25 students.
The School aspires to be a happy, vibrant and successful community where everyone tries their best. The school has a strong focus on providing a creative and stimulating learning environment for all learners so that they can achieve the highest possible standards in all that they do. The Head teacher is a brilliant leader who has driven forward some remarkable changes whilst in the role; to the extent of the pupils, parents and staff all saying that the school is an amazing place to spend time in and around.
The school is a stunning new build right by the lock, and is well resourced - it even has a new 'STEM' room designed to support teachers deliver science, technology computing and maths lessons. Staff work hard to instil an early love for learning and the school has a focus on parallel development of their children's personal, social and academic skills. With the care placed on making their pupils feel valued, pupil behaviour is impeccable and their attitudes to learning are extremely positive.
The school really likes to grow and develop their own Teachers. Teachers currently at the school speak very positively of the environment and are proud to be a member of the team. They believe leaders have created a climate in which teachers are trusted to take risks and innovate in ways that are right for the pupils. If this sounds like the right environment for you, the key criteria the school will be looking for from you are:
- The willingness to work as a small team; sharing the hours, workload and responsibility with your Year 5 Teaching colleague, and work in unison towards achieving the same goals for you and your class
- Experience working in KS2 (Preferably Year 5)
- Good references from your most recent schools
- The role is flexible, but will also require you to be versatile at times as well
- UK QTS
If you would be interested in this role, the school are hoping to secure their staff for September as soon as possible, and will interview on a rolling basis until they find the ideal candidate. As such, please do apply as soon as possible.
