Part time teaching assistant - Bury

A lovely and warm primary school in Prestwich, Bury is looking for a part time teaching assistant to work across reception and Key Stage 1. This role will involve working as a general teaching assistant within the different classes, supporting the class room teachers. The successful candidate will also work on a 1:1 basis with a child with mild learning difficulties in the class room and lead small group interventions to support lower ability pupils.

The Head teacher is looking for a flexible and nurturing teaching assistant to work part time, Monday to Friday in the afternoons. This role will likely carry on until the end of the academic year the successful candidate.

A successful primary school applicant should:

  • Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Be flexible and adaptable

The school has a large percentage of pupils with English as an additional language with over 20 different languages spoken within the school. This is a happy and vibrant Prestwich primary school with excellent transport links.
