Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification demonstrating teaching qualifications.
  • Successful completion of a PGCE qualification.
  • A child-only DBS check, preferably on the update service – Teaching Personnel can assist with the application process.
  • Experience in effectively teaching primary school-aged children.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling the establishment of positive relationships.
  • A growth mindset and a genuine passion for continuous professional development.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging teaching materials, arrange the classroom environment, and curate attractive displays.
  • Design and deliver well-structured lessons, catering to the needs of individual students and facilitating small group learning.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work, while actively engaging with parents and caregivers to discuss their children's progress.
  • Supervise and coordinate the tasks of supporting teaching assistants.
  • Adhere to safeguarding protocols and collaborate with educational contacts and social workers as necessary.
  • Coordinate and oversee trips and sports events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
