Are you a Science Teacher wishing to work on a part-time basis in the new academic year? Would you like to teach Science without the additional responsibility of planning and marking?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Science Teacher to work on a flexible basis at our partner secondary school located on the outskirts of Manchester city centre:

Specific job duties-

• To provide a high standard of Science teaching on a flexible part-time basis.
• To cover Science lessons and to teach intervention classes whenever necessary.
• To establish strong working relationships with other members of the Science department to ensure consistent teaching practice.
• To maintain order and discipline among students whilst promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.

In an effort to provide further quality and consistency to the teaching of Science, our partner school have approached Teaching Personnel for a Science Teacher to compliment the existing staff within the Science department. This is mainly to provide cover for absent teachers within the Science department. Further, once embedded within the department, the suitable Science teacher will be then offered intervention classes in the run-up to any exam periods.

In a recent Ofsted inspection, our partner school was praised for the high expectations set by the staff. It is slightly smaller in comparison to the other schools in the area with it currently catering for just under 900 pupils. This number is set to increase however over the next academic year due to the growing reputation of the school. At present, the numbers of pupils eligible for pupil premium and those who speak English as an Additional Language are slightly higher than the national average.

It is located on the outskirts of Manchester town centre offering excellent accessibility to East Manchester, Tameside and areas of Stockport via the M60 motorway. There are also direct public transport links (both buses & trains) to the school from Manchester city centre.
