Teaching Personnel is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Science, to join a successful school in Bath to start after the Easter Holidays

This is a part-time, long term role. 3 days a week would be ideal but as it is a job share, the school could be flexible and agree two days a week.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school is a growing and improving educational provider, delivering fantastic results year on year. It is a vibrant, diverse and innovative setting, promoting independence and achievement. They aim to produce confident individuals through learning in a safe and happy environment.

The school is looking for a Teacher of Science that can deliver lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will need to have excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.

The role itself will involve the delivery of Science lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed excellent GCSE results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!

The school is based in central Bath with excellent public transport links.

To join us and be successful in this Science role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have taught Science in the UK for at least a year
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • You CV must have 6 years employment / education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
