P.E teacher with Maths experience wanted for SEMH School

Job description

A secondary school that caters for boys with SEMH, Autism and ADHD are looking for a P.E teacher to start immediately. They ideally want a P.E teacher who would be able to teach Maths classes aswell.


All the pupils currently have a statement of SEN or are in the process of being statemented. Most have been permanently excluded, at least once, from mainstream schools and a few from other special schools. The students needs have become more complex and the school now provides for a wider range of needs, including A- typical Autism and Inobstructive Aspergers.


Qualifications Required:
* Qualified teacher status.
* Education to degree level (or equivalent experience)


Qualifications Desired:
* Additional qualifications in working with pupils with special educational needs
* To have experience of de-escalation or be prepared to undertake training in this


Personal qualities required:
* Must be able to build effective relationships with difficult children and young people.
* Must be an approachable and caring personality with integrity.
* Must have flexibility, strength of character and resilience.
* Must be adaptable and willing to accept guidance and support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
