Are you a strong and experienced P.E Teacher? Looking for a new role? Can you teach KS3-KS5 P.E? If so we have the perfect role for you!

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a P.E Teacher for a comprehensive school in Northumberland to cover a maternity. The role is temporary initially but has the possibility of being extended. You will be prepping and delivering lessons across KS3-KS5 to classes of mixed ability. They are looking for someone to start in January and work 5 days per week.

The school is located in Ashington and currently has over 800 pupils on roll. Students are mostly well behaved and the school prides it self on its committed and caring staff ethos. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential.

NQTs with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching P.E at a variety of levels
  • A friendly and patient approach to teaching
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
  • A desire to take on extra-curricular activities and school team coaching

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
