Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Specialist Behaviour school in the Blackburn area. Our client is looking to appoint an outstanding, creative teacher to join their well established, successful and supportive team. The school provides an alternative provision for vulnerable young people aged 11-19, often with challenging behaviours. The school also provides specialist provision for students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcomed for this role. The post is to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with pupils with additional needs and will have evidence of planning and delivering an engaging and well differentiated curriculum.

If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, love working alongside challenging students, building relationships and maintaining trust, this could be the job for you. Applicants should posses the following:

  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS
  • Experience of working with students with additional needs (BESD/ASC)
  • Experience of delivering a well differentiated curriculum
