Are you a recent graduate or experienced teaching assistant looking to enhance your knowledge and skillset in a KS2 environment?
Are you calm, patient and approachable with direct or transferable experience?
We are recruiting for a behavioural support assistant to support a primary school located in Cambridge, you would be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis mostly in KS2 - you will be required to create behavioural support plans and methods to help pupils who are struggling with increased levels of anxiety.
The position is due to formally start in January 2022, however if you are able to start earlier, this is preferable to allow for a good handover period.
As a behavioural support assistant you would be providing to support to pupils who require additional support during the school day.
This would include;
- Behavioural guidance
- Reporting the pupils progress to the teacher on a daily basis
- Supporting pupils to build strong lasting relationships with their teachers and peers
- Prior experience of SEN would be hugely beneficial, in or out of an educational setting
This role would be ideally suited to a recent graduate looking to extend their knowledge and skillset in a primary/SEN environment, the candidate would need to be patient, caring and have a passion for helping others who require additional support. And if you are looking to gain further school based experience prior to applying for your teacher training, this is expereince that will help you to be a well rounded and inclusive future teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
