Teaching Assistant
Job description
A 'good' school based in Haywards Heath has a child joining asap who needs one to one support with high emotional needs and regulation. His ability to tackle any academic learning is challenging, especially with writing. This child is also on the waiting list for Autism and ADHD assessments.
The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN needs and be able to support learning of the year 6 curriculum. Knowledge of ADHD and ASC is essential and ability to de-escalate behaviours.
The position is 5 days per week, The school days are 8.15 until 3.20 and within term-time only.
Teaching personnel are working closely with the school to find the right learning support assistant and the position will run from asap until the end of the academic in the first instance with the option of contract after a period of review.
Requirements from educator:
- Right to work in the UK
- Child only enhanced DBS on the update service
- Experience working with additional needs children
- Patient, good behaviour management and able to work closely with SENCO and SLT within the school.
