Learning Support Assistant needed Bolton.

Working with a Year 2 pupil with behavioural needs on a one to one basis

Rewarding role, working with the pupil to promote inclusion and engagement in the classroom

A large Primary School in Bolton (BL4) require an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in one of their Year 2 class who has additional needs. The pupil has been identified as having behavioural needs, they are not aggressive but are easily distracted and require one to one support to keep them focused and engaged with their learning.

You will be experienced supporting pupils with additional needs on a one to one basis in a mainstream Primary setting. As you will be closely supporting this pupil, you will need to have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 level so that you can appropriately support the pupil to help bridge attainment gaps in Maths, Reading and Writing.

The school is a 2 form entry Primary School in the Farnworth area of Bolton. You will be joining a well established and very supported Key Stage 1 Team, working closely with the class teacher to monitor pupil progress and development and identify next steps for progression.

The school are keen to meet people after half term with a view to starting as soon as possible and continuing for the rest of the year and potentially going onto the school's contract.
