Position: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Reading
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications up to £15 an hour

About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Nursery Practitioner to join our nursery team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development, building strong relationships with families, and helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive nursery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality childcare and early education within our nursery, following the EYFS framework
- Plan and take part in engaging age-appropriate activities within the nursery environment
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and social development throughout their nursery day
- Maintain accurate observations and contribute to children’s learning journals
- Work collaboratively with fellow Nursery Practitioners and the wider nursery team
- Ensure the nursery setting is safe, clean, and well-organised
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers as part of our nursery community
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or working towards) suitable for a Nursery Practitioner
- A genuine passion for working with young children in a nursery setting
- Good understanding of child development, safeguarding, and nursery policies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, patience, and a positive attitude suited to a busy nursery
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
