Nursery nurse required for a part time SEN role

Job description

A large friendly and well resourced nursery school is looking to recruit an experienced and well versatile TA to join their school. The nursery has 30 pupils across the school day and 14 children on the SEN register.

This particular role will involve:

2 full days of work between 8.30am-4pm and 8.30am-12.30pm for 3 days. During these hours, the successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a child who is Autistic with limited verbal communication. The child's 1:1 will be required to take notes and conduct observation whilst speaking to outside therapists including Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists.

This position offers candidates the scope to develop their career within a Primary/nursery school, alongside upholding high expectations of learning, attainment and behaviour. This is a great role for anyone looking to take their first step into mainstream nursery as apposed to private nurseries.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
