Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistants – East Lancashire Area

East Lancashire area

 

A number of primary schools in the East Lancashire area (Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Nelson and Colne) are seeking Nursery and EYFS teaching assistants to support children that are ‘not school ready’. Most of these positions are to start in September however some are scheduled to start in June to provide additional support for children during the phased opening. Prior experience working in a Nursery or EYFS setting is essential. In June, you would be supporting the class teacher focusing on providing a safe environment and re-establishing a routine. In September, you would be supporting small groups of children providing additional support/ leading intervention sessions. The intervention sessions would be focused to develop fine motor skills, vocabulary and communication skills.  

We currently work with a range of one and two form entry Primary schools in the East Lancashire area, with Ofsted reports from ‘OUTSTANDING’ to ‘REQUIRES IMPROVEMENT’. Teaching Assistants with a Level 2 qualification or above are encouraged to apply. Schools are looking for teaching assistants who are pro-active and willing to work as part of the team. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
