Nursery Practitioner Required

Start date: Nov 2021.

A pre-school at a reputable school in Kirkham are seeking to appoint a part-time Nursery Practitioner to work 3 days per week on a rota basis. They are after somebody who will commit to supporting both the children and staff in a friendly working environment.

The ability to work independently is vital for this role as the appointed person will have Key Children to look after and report to parents at the end of each day. This preschool value the fact that working as a cohesive team produces better results and therefore communication skills are important for the successful candidate.

The focus of this role is the development of children to be ‘school ready’ this involves mostly learning through play with some introduction of speech and language and numbers. The appointed candidate is to help the children develop socially, emotionally and academically as they progress through the pre-school. The age of the Key Children will depend on the candidate’s previous experience.

The hours for this role can vary depending on shifts. The Preschool is open from 8:00 am and closes at 18:00 shift patterns are used to ensure staff get reasonable time to relax and there is 30 minutes protected time for a lunch break.

This supportive pre-school will be a fantastic work environment for anyone, and the senior staff are very supportive and encourage opportunities for staff to take on CPD and responsibilities within the department.

The salary for this role will be between £10.20 and £11.20 per hour (dependant on experience).

The appointed person will need at least a Level 2 or equivalent TA qualification.

The school is well located in the Fylde Coast and has large parking facilities for staff, and it is situated on a regular public transport route. It is easily accessible from Blackpool, Preston, Lytham, Warton and the surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
