Rate: GBP25 - GBP30

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream Secondary School on the Waterside, New Forest, Hampshire, who are looking to work with tutors capable of delivering English tuition for a school taking part in the National Tuition Programme.

The National Tutoring Programme was implemented for vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils by the government with specific funding being allocated to schools to support attainment in core subject areas. This Maths tuition will be delivered on the school site, beginning after February half term.

We currently have a required timetable in place for this New Forest based school, delivering English tuition for Year 10 and 11 pupils.

Pay rate: up to GBP GBP30 per hour

Tutor Skills Required:

• Fully Qualified and able to teach up to KS4 (GCSE) English
• Experienced teaching whole classes, small intervention groups or 1:1 tuition – at least 6 months experience
• Confident to differentiate to a broad range of pupil needs, abilities, and personalities
• Must be able to take on face to face tuition once lockdown restrictions have been eased
• Ability to move to online learning using differing platforms (training provided)
• Experience working with low ability students or those who present with SEN
• Confident to manage any challenging behaviour and able to re-engage hard to reach learners
• Able to plan and effectively deliver all your own learning materials with support from Heads of Departments and SENCO
• Competent at providing detailed feedback and progress reports to track the progress of students both academically and socially
• Completion of NTP training – online learning compulsory for this role provided free of charge by Teaching Personnel
