NQT Oppertunity: SEN Teacher Vacancies Cardiff

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for newly qualified teachers with experience in or an understanding of SEN to work with a client school based in Cardiff. The role requires candidates to teach a class of pupils that may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. There will be teaching assistants within the class mostly with one to ones for the less able pupils. Teachers with SEN experience will be advantageous for the role. Keeping the pupils on task to meet their learning aims and objectives along with upholding the balance of the room will be required from you, light marking and planning can also be involved based on the day. The time candidates are required to work is between 8:30-3:30.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have qualified teaching status
  • Show great behaviour management skills
  • Have SEN experience
  • TeamTeach Trained (desirable)
  • Excellent time management skills

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
