Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit newly qualified teachers with SEN experience to work with a client school based in Newport. The KS3 class has pupils with a range of special educational needs, the successful candidate will need have have a variety of skills that can benefit the pupils at this school. The children that you will be working with may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. You will be asked to keep pupils on task to meet their learning aims and objectives for that term. There will be other specialist support within the classroom in the shape of one to ones for those pupils that need the extra learning assistance. Candidates will be asked to work within regular school hours of 8:30-3:30. Planning and Light marking will also be asked of you. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £85.00-£100.00 a day.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Have experience working with SEN
  • Manual Handling (desired))
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
