The school are hoping to appoint a Primary NQT for September. This role will include class teaching responsibility and a year group will be assigned based on suitability and preference to year group. The Primary NQT position will be full-time and permanent.

The pupils here are a joy to teach. They enjoy school and love to get involved; they are well behaved, and want to do well. Similarly, their parents and carers are supportive and very keen to see their children achieve highly. All this makes this school a really good place to begin one's teaching career

At this school, all NQTs receive a comprehensive induction. They have the advantage of working and planning closely with their year group colleagues, and will also have a dedicated mentor with whom they meet with very regularly to discuss their practice, organise visits to other classes around the school and to other schools, and meet with the various subject leaders and coordinators in order to enhance their own practice. This runs alongside attendance to the specially designed NQT courses run by the local authority.

The school has already recruited two NQTs for September, which means that there will also be other newly qualified colleagues within the school with whom to share ideas and experiences during the year, as well as teachers with a wealth of experience across the different areas of the curriculum.
