Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Newly Qualified Teachers within the Derby City and Derbyshire area. We are looking for teachers to work within a range of schools that work with students with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, PMLD and SEMH.

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

  • A Teacher with SEN experience (not essential)
  • Experience working with pupils on the Autistic spectrum, including those who present with challenging behaviour
  • Confident to work on a 1:1 basis with students who may be very disengaged from education
  • Able to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that progress is tracked on a regular basis
  • Able to record progress through weekly feedback reports
  • Flexible to adapt their approach in order to meet the student's needs at all times
  • Patient and nurturing at all times
  • Someone who is able to boost self-esteem as well as help the student to make academic progress

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
