NEWLY QUALIFIED TEACHER ROLES

Date posted : 26/03/21
£139 - 160 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

COMPLETE NQT-YEAR IN A SCHOOL COMMITTED TO YOUR DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING NEEDS AS A  NEW TEACHER. Current PGCE student Teachers and NQT’s with a passion for SEN needed for Roles beginning September for the full year. Start and complete, or maybe just finish off the last few weeks you’ve struggled to sign off this year.

WE ARE ON TEACHER FRAMEWORK: PAY STARTS GBP139 - GBP145 DAILY RATE & ENHANCED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR BASED ON SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • WHO: 5 comprehensive schools in South Wales
  • WHAT: Full time teaching roles, Monday -Friday. PPA time allocated. The roles will be geared towards your specialist subject, but there will likely be an element of vocations, life skills or emotional reflection studies. So, if you are a drama teacher, although you will be teaching KS3&4 for Monday and Tuesday, you might have a day of drama intervention workshops on the Wednesday for pupils with self esteem, or mental health issues- then back to KS3 by Thursday. It is exciting, varied and gives you a full bodied experience.
  • WHERE: Rhondda Cynon Taf, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil
  • WHEN: September Start for duration of the year so the schools can support with NQT year, but also upskill and get any training and development specific to them completed
  • WHY?: There is a shortage of ALN-skilled teaching staff and each school has such unique needs that it is a chance for these schools to develop and nurture a new teacher to match the standards new leadership want. ALSO, these schools want to ensure they have someone who is a constant for the year who will provide consistency this year for the pupils who need it most

The schools predominantly want candidates who have worked with mental health and ALN in numerous capacities and these do not necessarily need to be school-based experiences

NOTE: This is not an opportunity to work in an SEND school- but the ideal candidate will be confident and committed working with vocation groups and ALN units within comprehensive environments, i.e, a behaviour group, or a class of mixed ability ASC pupils who range from ages 11-16,- as well as SNRB classes where the learning is more tailored and intimate with a focus being on the emotional needs and development of pupils who need it most. Your time table will contain mainstream, KS3&4 lessons for the remainder.

The ratio depends on which of the five schools you are the best fit for, but this is a great opportunity to get your feet under the table from the get-go and for all current NQT’s who have had a very challenging year with blended learning, this can hopefully provide consistency and stability for the upcoming year if you have not yet had this.

APPLICATIONS ENCOURAGED URGENTLY: Now is the best time to stand out from the crowd… by the end of your second placement, or May half term, everybody will be feeling the pressure to find something for September

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
