Music Teacher
Manchester

Full time Music teacher required in January for inner city secondary school in Manchester.

Salary to reflect experience and pay scale (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

Due to an upcoming vacancy in January, Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of Music at a vibrant inner city school in Manchester. This is a full time post commencing in January and required on a temporary to permanent basis. This post will be suit a qualified Teacher with extensive experience in teaching and supporting the delivery of KS3 and GCSE Music in a secondary school setting.  The ability to also have experience in the KS5 curriculum is desirable but is not essential for this post.

The successful candidate will join the schools Arts department and will take responsibility of the preparation, planning and delivery of KS3 and GCSE lessons to students across the age range. We are looking for a passionate and proactive teacher who has the ability to engage and inspire students of all learning abilities and backgrounds. The successful Music teacher will join a team of dedicated, driven staff and will work in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have up to date, strong subject knowledge in KS3 and GCSE Music
  • Have the ability to deliver engaging lessons to students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
  • Be a talented, dynamic and ambitious and be able to ensure good progress for all students

The school is a large over subscribed secondary school located in the heart of the city centre of Manchester. The school is located just minutes away from the city centre and is easily accessible via public transport links. With over 1000 pupils on roll, the school has a large number of students from a range of abilities, ethnicities and backgrounds making it an inclusive learning environment for all students. Due to recent improvements, the school now has excellent facilities throughout which plays an active role in providing the highest quality of education to all students.
