I am looking for a Teacher of Music for a permanent vacancy starting as soon as possible. Although not essential, the ability to also offer an additional subject would be welcomed.

Are you a Teacher of Music looking for a new opportunity from September 2024? Would you like to work as a Music Teacher for a vibrant and successful 11-16 academy that serves the coastal communities? This may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Music plays an important part in the curriculum, and as a subject Music is popular and well resourced. The department has its own purpose built and spacious block with a large classroom and 4 well-resourced practice rooms (2 with acoustic pianos)

To be successful in this post, the ideal Teacher of Music will:

  • possess Qualified teacher Status (QTS), or be a Newly Qualified Teacher
  • have recent knowledge of delivering the curriculum up to GCSE
  • be passionate about teaching and have a creative and flexible approach for all key stages
  • model best practice teaching and learning across the department and support the development of quality teaching in the department
  • support, challenge and engage a diverse cohort of students, enriching their learning experience, maximising their potential and raising attainment
  • play a key role in leading aspects of faculty CPD

For this role, I will consider Teachers with a Music and/or Drama background.

Teaching Personnel will provide a pay which reflects your experience and teaching pay-scale, paid on a weekly basis via PAYE.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
