An exciting opportunity to cover a maternity leave within the Music department of a large secondary school.

  • Full-time Music teacher required, to cover a maternity leave.
  • Start date from September 2020.
  • Large secondary academy situated in Salford.
  • Teaching Music to pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.
  • Paid in line with scale point - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490.

Our client secondary school is based between Bolton and Salford, and is currently looking for a temporary Music teacher to cover a maternity leave within the Music faculty from September 2020. This post will be offered until December 2020 in the first instance, but may be subject to continuation. The school require a Music  teacher who has experience delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum at both Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.

The successful Music teacher will be expected to teach a full timetable across all age groups up to GCSE level alongside taking on full planning and marking responsibilities throughout this post. The successful candidate will need to plan lessons to meet the needs of individuals at varying levels of learning, ensuring inclusion and progression is at the heart of each lesson plan.

Located between Salford and Bolton, this large secondary academy currently has 1,000 pupils on roll. The school can be accessed via the M61 and A580 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be accessed via public transport links from neighbouring areas including Bury, Radcliffe and Farnworth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
