Job description

A full time position for a Moving and Handling trained Teaching Assistant commencing as soon as possible and running untill the end of the academic year. This particular role will involve working throughout the School to support Teachers and School support staff as and when required.

This Setting is a Small Secondary Special Needs School situated in Tameside. This particular Setting currently has 75 pupils enrolled and provides education for pupils 11- 16 who have a range of needs which may include: complex learning difficulties, Autism and Down syndrome. The pupils who attend this Setting have a wide range of SEN needs so Teaching Assistants who have a knowledge of SEN would be desirable.

This particular role will involve supporting pupils with SEN so experience with Moving and Handling would be desirable. Individuals who have experience within a Care Setting would also be desirable, so if you are seeking a career change please apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
