Moving and Handling trained Support Assistant

Job description

I am currently working with a number of SEN schools in Sheffield who require support assistants that are moving and handling trained for both day to day cover and longer term placements.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including but not exclusively PMLD and SLD.

The role will include personal care and supporting the pupils in the sensory room.

We welcome applicants who have experience supporting within SEN schools or come from a recent care background.

To be considered for the role candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check (if not already in possession of a Child Workforce DBS registered on the online update service) and be able to provide details of two references prior to registration.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
