SEN Teaching Assistant - Putney, London

  • OUTSTANDING SEN School require a number of Teaching Assistants
  • Do you want to make a difference to young people with complex health needs?
  • Do you have experience assisting individuals with special educational needs?

Our partner school in Putney have expressed the need for a number of Specialist SEN Teaching Assistants to support within their EYFS class. This school caters for young people with complex and severe learning difficulties, the school aims to promote independent living wherever possible. This is an Ofsted ‘OUTSTANDING’ school who are keen to expand their staff team with knowledgeable and professional individuals who share their passion for special educational needs.

Within this EYFS class, the young people do require PEG feeding and some have tracheostomies, any relevant training in regards to this would be highly desirable.

Because this is such a specialised role, to be considered for this position you must;

• Have previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs

• Have previously undergone moving and handling training

• Have a passion for assisting individuals with special educational needs

• Have prior experience working with individuals with complex medical needs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
