The School

The School is a highly regarded special school for young people between the ages of 11 to 19 with a statement or Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) of special educational needs. The students have a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, autism, Down syndrome, speech, language and communication needs and other conditions associated with learning difficulties. They admit up to 20 students every year in Year 7 in two classes of 10. Each class enjoys the presence of a teacher and teaching assistant.


The positions are term time only; you must be able to demonstrate a passion for working in a special school setting and with young children with complex needs. We are committed to staff development so will help you to develop your skills and expertise.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
