Job description

Full time MFL Teacher required specialising in French and Spanish from February 2019 for a 12 month period.

Due to a member of staff taking a long term sickness leave this oversubscribed Bury RC Secondary school wish to appoint a passionate MFL teacher who specialises in the delivery of French and Spanish at Key Stages 3-4.

  • Full time MFL Teacher specialising in French and Spanish, required from February 2019.
  • 12 month fixed term basis within a Bury Secondary School.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant subject specific qualifications in French or Spanish.
  • Previous experience delivering both French and Spanish is highly desired.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

As a Roman Catholic community, this oversubscribed Secondary school who takes pride in promoting an inclusive attitude towards teaching and learning. Established in 1954, the school now is at double the capacity then and so has recently moved into refurbished state of the art facilities.

The incoming MFL teacher will be required to;

  • Plan, prepare and evaluate classwork, ensuring all relevant actions are taken to ensure pupil attainment is at the fore front.
  • Develop and incorporate pedagogies relevant to the curriculum to inspire all pupils.
  • Use relevant classroom management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place across the school.
  • Work in accordance with current health and safety requirements: Governing Bodies, DFE, and Government policies.

This Bury based Secondary school with just over 1140 pupils on roll; aged 11-16 is located on the outskirts of Bury town centre. It is easily accessible via the M66 and has a range of public transport options available with links throughout Greater Manchester.
