Job description

Our client Secondary school situated within the Bury LEA require a teacher of Spanish (Key Stage Four) and French (Key Stage Three) to join their Modern Foreign Language (MFL) department following the Christmas break (January 2019).

Due to departmental restructure, the school wish to appoint a full time teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, and the post will begin in January 2019 and continue until the end of the academic year (2019). There will be an opportunity to gain a permanent position with the school from September 2019 for the successful Spanish and French teacher.

Located near to the centre of Bury, the large mixed comprehensive Secondary school has been praised for the changes made to behaviour policies and outcomes for pupils in the past academic year. There are approximately 1,000 pupils on roll at present, and the MFL department currently have six teachers that specialise in both Spanish and French. The successful teacher must have experience teaching Spanish to GCSE level to be considered for this position.

Access to school can be gained via the M66 motorway, and for non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to school from Rochdale, Bolton and central Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
