MFL teacher required in Trafford - temporary position starting in September on a part time basis.
Are you a qualified MFL teaching looking for work in September? Would a part time position suit your current circumstances?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a 11-18 secondary comprehensive who have a temporary need in their Modern Foreign Languages department starting in the new academic year. The school offer students French and Spanish in the curriculum, the expectation will be to teach both French and Spanish across KS3 and your specialism to GCSE (or both would be ideal). There is a sixth form attached offering the opportunity to teach KS5, however this is would be advantageous rather than compulsory. This part time position is being offered for the first term and will be a 0.6 timetable (3 days per week), until Christmas to cover a temporary void within the Languages department. Highlights of this MFL teaching opportunity include;
- Teaching French and Spanish in a school with Ofsted "good" rating
- Initial one term temporary position via Teaching Personnel
- Pay to reflect your experience (MPS 1-6) for the term
- High level of support from the department and leadership team
- Excellent behaviour from pupils who are keen to learn and achieve
Situated in the southern area of Trafford via Altrincham and South Manchester, the school connects to the A56 and M56 and offers secure on-site parking for all staff. This is a much larger than average 11-18 school with a great reputation, the majority of pupils are of white British heritage and live local to school. The school exceeds the current floor standards by some way and GCSE exam results are progressing annually under the excellent leadership and high standard of teaching.
The position is temporary to cover a need within the Languages department, the successful MFL teacher applying will be fully supported by the faculty leader and other staff members. You will need to have a confidence within the classroom and experience teaching KS3/4 MFL to be successful. Due to the current department make up, the school are happy to consider an MFL teacher with a specialism for French or Spanish and you'll be required to undertake regular responsibilities within the department (parents evenings, after school meetings).
All MFL teachers wishing to be considered will need to submit a CV ASAP for consideration, please apply straight away or call Miles in the Teaching Personnel Manchester Secondary branch for any further information.
