Mental Health Teaching Assistant(s)

A specialist school in Huddersfield are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants in September. The successful candidates will have experience working alongside children with social, emotional and mental health needs. 

This role would be ideal for psychology graduates looking to gain experience with children with Mental Health needs or those looking to gain experience working with children with ECHPs. 

The role is full-time, with the opportunity to go from temp to perm for the right candidate. 

Desirable skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Previous experience working alongside children
  • Able to deal with challenging behaviour and remain calm during these situations

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
  • Minimum of three months UK residency
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
