Wellbeing Classroom Support – Cardiff CF11 Area – Full-time Role – As soon as possible – Daily rate £61.20 to 65
*Permanent contract available providing successful in the placement during the academic year*
Our partnership school are currently looking for a classroom support to help with KS4 pupils who are transitioning to A-levels or College next year. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for the full academic year.
The school are looking for classroom support to work with KS4 pupils to help with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) issues which are now affecting her levels of educational progress. The school are focused on ensuring that each pupil has the best grades possible to move onto the next step into education. So, by having classroom support to help with SEMH is vital to help engagement levels within the lessons and to progress each individual.
The Ideal Classroom Support –
- Experience with vulnerable adults or children
- Not afraid of situations that may arise throughout
- Available on a full-time basis
- Confident with 1:1 support
- A valid DBS or willingness to get one
The aim of your role will be to work alongside a small group of pupils to understand effective ways of learning and encourage engagement with the classroom teacher. As well as supporting with emotion management within the lessons you will withhold support groups with groups of 2-3 pupils every week on how to effectively manage their emotions. In addition to this you will be expected to liaise with staff members about the wellbeing of the pupils as well as make any referrals needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
