TEACHING ASSISTANT - SEND SUPPORT - MOVING AND HANDLING - SUPPORTING PHYSICAL DISABILITY (PD)

We have a number of opportunities across South Yorkshire for those with experience supporting PD. We are looking for someone who is calm, caring and patient to support children/young people who have complex needs. This role will require the use of hoists, slings and frames and may also include personal care. We welcome applications from those with a medical/care background, but would ideally be seeking someone with experience working with children. 

We are supporting Specialist settings across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Chesterfield and Worksop. You do not need your own mode of transport, but access to a car would be beneficial for some settings (we have a school based in woodland). 

We are looking for; 

• Moving and Handling current certificate 
• Experience supporting PD 
• Comfortable with personal care 
• Experience working with children
• Care/medical background 
• Maths + English GCSE (A-C or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
