Maths teaching assistant post in Manchester.

  • Full time temporary position from September 2017
  • Earn up to £65 per day (full time 5 days per week)

Are you an aspiring Maths teacher looking to develop your subject knowledge by working in a secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Maths teaching assistant to join a large school in Manchester on a full time basis in September. This is a temporary post initially until Christmas, working as a teaching assistant within the Maths department of a multi cultural school with great facilities.

As a Maths teaching assistant, you will be expected to deliver a high standard of support to children who struggle with elements of Maths during lessons and as they prepare for exams. Previous experience tutoring or working as a teaching assistant is desirable, however the school are happy to consider Maths graduates with excellent subject knowledge and no classroom experience.

Situated in a multi cultural area of Manchester, this is a large secondary school with a Roman Catholic ethos and excellent facilities. The position as a Maths teaching assistant will require you to support teachers in lessons, lead small groups of Maths intervention and also tutor children on a 1:1 basis. Interviews are being arranged before and in September to start upon the school returning on the 4th September.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
