Maths teaching assistant position, Northants

  • £50-£65 per day

Do you have a passion for Maths and are you considering a career within teaching? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northamptonshire who want to add a Maths teaching assistant to their support staff team on a temporary basis.

“As we aim to improve our results in Maths this year and give pupils extra support, we are looking for a Maths teaching assistant as soon as possible. This would be working full time, supporting pupils in small groups and on an individual basis, ideally of a graduate background with a degree in Maths or similar, the Maths teaching assistant will be an asset to our team and help teachers give pupils a great chance to achieve their potential”, Deputy Head teacher.

This is a large mixed secondary school with great facilities and a diverse mix of pupils on roll. The school has circa 600 students on roll and has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating.

Working as a Maths teaching assistant will be extremely rewarding for any aspiring teachers, previous experience as a tutor or teaching assistant is desirable however not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
