Maths Teaching Assistant Vacancy – North London (10 Minutes walk from Local tube station)

An outstanding secondary school situated in Camden with excellent tube links is looking for a Maths Teaching Assistant to start in September on a long term basis to assist in the support & inclusion of children with barriers to learning and those who are underachieving. These may include Special Educational Needs, Disabilities, EAL, Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties and medical conditions. The nature of the work will comprise of in-class support, small intervention groups and one to one support.

This is a high achieving school where results are at 61% A* - C, students achieve well and regularly progress to further education after their school career. Each student at the school is treated as an individual and Teaching Assistants work closely with school staff to ensure standards are kept high and pupils achieve the highest possible grades.

The school is looking to employ a graduate or qualified teaching assistant who will be able to support students over the whole curriculum but with a focus on Maths. Teaching Assistants with an EAL or SEN background will be looked on favourably.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
