Are you seeking a Mathematics Teaching position? Do you have experience of working within a secondary school? Have you tutored or mentored KS3 - KS5 students? Do you hold QTS?

If you can answer yes to one of the above, then this is the position for you!

Based in County Durham, this secondary school has transformed into a highly productive and reputable learning environment and is now looking for a driven and ambitious Maths Teacher to join their team from September. This position is also open to Trainee Maths Teachers who are looking for their first permanent position as a Maths NQT! The ideal individual should be able to show a track record of good exam results that show their skill and knowledge as a teacher, whether this is through placements or permanent employment. You will have the ability to plan and prepare quality lessons which follow the UK curriculum and that will reach the expectations of the school itself.

Requirements:

  • QTS desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to plan and prepare quality lessons.
  • Experience of teaching KS3-KS5 or knowledge of UK curriculum.
  • The drive and stamina to exceed school expectations and targets.
  • Strong subject knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.

You will need to be an ambitious Maths Teacher who has been acknowledged as a 'Good' or better teacher out of observations and has the ability to keep up the school's rapid improvement. This post requires a teacher who has the skills to show a thorough understanding of the curriculum and possesses strong behaviour management and a reflective approach to teaching. You will possess a real determination to add to the school's push for improvement, pushing yourself to help sustain the excellent forward momentum already in place.
