 A secondary school based in Stockport is looking to appoint a Maths teacher with a proven track record of raising pupil attainment to join their team. This post is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers who posses QTS in the UK.

The school has a deep-rooted ethos of ensuring each pupil is encouraged to pursue the highest of aspirations by ensuring high standards in all areas of school life, including teaching and learning. The curriculum on offer is widely varied and in line with new Ofsted guidelines to ensure pupils receive a full and relevant education. Pupils are also exposed to a plethora of extra curricular offerings where they are able to pursue their wider interests and hobbies, providing them with a completely rounded school experience.

Located close to the M60 and A6, the school is easy to get to by car, and is also well serviced by public transport, meaning it is easily accessible regardless of transport preference.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS in the UK; NQTs and experienced teachers welcome
  • Have excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Have experience contributing to reviewing and improving departmental resources
  • Be experienced tailoring and differentiating lesson content to suit pupil needs
  • Possess excellent subject knowledge
  • Have a track record of pupil attainment
  • Be confident in their classroom management abilities
  • Be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school
