Maths Teacher position, Rochdale - September start

A large modern secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a teacher of Maths to join their faculty on a full time basis from September. This position is initially temporary with the opportunity to go permanent for the right Maths teacher.

Situated in Rochdale, close to the town centre this mixed 11-16 secondary school is easily accessible via the M60 motorway and has a number of public transport links a short walk away. This larger than average secondary school caters to the local community with a large proportion of students being of White British origin and in recent years have had an increase in the cohort of students from a Pakistani heritage. The incoming Maths teacher will be joining a secondary which is consistently improving in both standards of teaching and learning, with the leadership team offering opportunities for professional development. The school is committed to achieving the highest attainment and social standards for students this is reflected in the high results achieved with 75% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades across all subjects.

The incoming Maths Teacher will:

  • Have UK QTS specialising in Maths or similar subject
  • Have previous experience teaching Maths up to GCSE
  • Deliver differentiated lessons to cater to mixed ability students
  • Plan and prepare challenging lessons to ensure all students are challenged
  • Liaise with the Head of Maths on the progress and performance of all students

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
