Maths Teacher - Oldham

Job description

A full time position for a Secondary Maths Teacher to commence immediately after the Christmas holidays (January 2020). This role will involve working within a Specialist Behaviour Setting so the Teacher will require high levels of emotional and physical resilience. This position is commencing in September so Teachers with the appropriate experiences and skills are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

The Setting is a Pupil Referral Unit which is located in Manchester and runs across 9 sites. The pupils who attend the Setting often show signs of challenging behaviour and can be prone to aggressive outbursts. The pupils who attend the Setting have various needs including: SEMH needs, extreme challenging behaviour and teen pregnancy so this particular position would be ideal for a Teacher who has experience working with vulnerable pupils.  

In order to be considered for this position you should have:

- A passion for supporting all pupils in reaching their full potential in Mathematics

- Qualified Teacher Status

- A subject specialism (ideally in a core subject)

- Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour

- Experience working within a PRU (ideal)
