Maths teacher required to cover maternity leave in January 2018, temporary two term post in the first instance open to Maths teachers of all experience levels.

Due to a maternity leave within their department, this well regarded secondary school in Manchester have a temporary post from January for a Maths teacher on a full time basis. Situated roughly 10 minutes from the city centre via Princess Road (A5103), this is a multi cultural secondary school with an on site sixth form, enrolling well over 1400 pupils. During the last Ofsted inspection, behaviour of pupils and leadership was graded as outstanding, the incoming Maths teacher will have the opportunity to become an outstanding teacher and benefit from the schools excellent CPD and training programmes. Maths is a particularly strong subject, with a settled staff team who work hard to ensure high standards and give children an excellent platform for learning.

  • Maths teacher, full time position starting in January 2018
  • Initial two term maternity cover with possibly future placement

  • MPS/UPS contract to match your scale point (£22,917-£38,633)

The successful Maths teacher applying will be required to attend an introduction day prior to starting in January, if you are unavailable until January but want to be considered please apply ASAP as interviews are being arranged straight after half term. The school does have an onsite sixth form, KS5 Maths teaching is advantageous for any applicants, newly qualified Maths teachers will be fully supported with their own dedicated mentor enabling you to complete two NQT terms.
