Secondary Maths Teacher- Leigh

Maths Teacher required for a GOOD secondary school in Leigh

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a high achieving secondary school in Leigh to recruit for a Maths Teacher to start from April 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is seeking a progressive role in an Ofsted rated GOOD school.

As a result of an upcoming gap within their Maths department, the Head teacher of this popular school is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher for a minimum of two terms in the first instance. There is the possibility of a fixed-term/permanent contract being offered after the initial supply period dependent upon effectiveness within the role.

  • Full time Maths Teacher required from after the Easter holidays
  • Teaching Maths to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

As the incoming Maths Teacher, you will be part of a Maths department where students consistently achieve results above the national average. The Maths faculty consists of a team of experienced teachers who strive to achieve results across the age and ability range.

The school's most recent Ofsted report highlighted the quality of the Senior Leadership team in supporting all staff and embedding a clear vision of the standard of teaching that the expect. During a recent meeting at the school, the harmonious and strong team spirit was felt throughout.

It is a large secondary school with over 1000 pupils on roll. A high proportion of the pupils who attend are from White British backgrounds. It is located within the Astley area which offers excellent accessibility to the town centres of Leigh and Wigan. The East Lancashire Road is also very close by meaning that Bolton and Salford are only a short drive also.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
