A well known co-educational secondary school in the South Manchester area near to Rusholme/Didsbury is looking for an excellent classroom practitioner in the form of a Maths teacher to join their Maths department. The successful Maths teacher will have a full teaching timetable made up of lower school and GCSE classes. There will be weighting towards lower school in KS3 and a focus on teaching those students who are lower ability. The school splits students by ability with a range of ability sets from year 8 onwards.

The successfully appointed Maths teacher can be at any stage of their teaching career, with applications being accepted from NQTs or more experienced teachers. The school will be looking to meet prospective Maths teachers prior to the end of this spring term.

Key aspects of this Maths teaching post:

  • Pay ranging between £110 - £140 per day depending on experience and payscale
  • Pay will be through Teaching Personnel on a weekly basis
  • Full time Mathematics teaching position, starting 23rd April 2018
  • Ideal position for a Maths teacher who is able to make a difference to lower ability students requiring intervention and dedicated teaching

Whilst this position is initially on a supply basis, the school want a practitioner who will immerse themselves in school life and strive to push the school and students learning forward.

The school is located in the South Manchester area near to Didsbury/Rusholme which is easily accessible from all surrounding areas. The school is well serviced by local public transport from the city centre and from the Stockport area. The school can also be accessed from Chorlton, Stretford, and Wythenshawe as well as further afield via the M60 ring road. The school boasts excellent facilities and encourages all faculties to utilise the facilities on offer; including smart boards and the latest computer technology.
