Maths Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Maths Teacher to work in a secondary school in Monmouthshire starting in September. This is a long term position based on a full timetable, initially due to run until Christmas, there is a strong possibility of the role extending. This role would be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teacher’s (NQT’s) as well as more experienced teachers. The school have an excellent reputation within the county and play an important role within the community. The large mixed comprehensive school has excellent modern facilities to give you the best platform to teach.

The school itself is based in Monmouthshire with excellent transport links. The Maths department are currently seeking a highly skilled teacher to provide an innovative & effective learning experience. The ideal candidate must:

• Be passionate and knowledgeable, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to succeed
• Register with the education workforce council
• Hold an enhanced DBS
• Two recent education references 

The successful Maths Teacher will be expected to:

• Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
• Maintain discipline
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening

The school are looking to appoint ASAP and although recently returning to school on June 29th the interview will be held via zoom. There will be an opportunity to visit the school and meet the department before starting in September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
